MEET NICOLET GROEN
Nicolet has a background in architectural design and real estate. When she started her business in 2007, there were no courses for real estate photography; through trial and error, she developed her own working method using natural light and practical editing techniques.
In 2012, she developed the first real estate photography course in the Netherlands. Since then, she has been guiding real estate and interior professionals in capturing properties better. She has now trained hundreds of interior designers, architects, and estate agents, who appreciate her for her clear explanations and practical approach.
MEET GUILLAUME GROEN
Guillaume worked for eighteen years as an IT architect before going back to the classroom to deepen his interest in photography. He can explain technical subjects clearly and practically, even to people with no experience.
Since graduating in 2011, he has worked mainly for estate agents, property developers and small businesses. He produces property photographs, real estate videos and drone footage.
He is happy to help others gain more confidence in working with their camera and improve their photographic skills.
Guillaume covers the technical aspects of photography in this course.
What past clients and students say:
"It is great to get so much practical information in a small group from such experienced real estate photographers. Nicolet and Guillaume not only teach you everything about real estate photography and post-processing. You also learn about entrepreneurship, branding and social media, and which tools you can use to speed up your workflow. In addition, you get a lot of practical information and templates to get started with straight away. Even after the training I can contact them for feedback on my photos and answers to my questions. That aftercare is truly worth its weight in gold. Thank you, Nicolet and Guillaume!"
"Micha and I did our first photo shoot after the course and the photos are currently being uploaded to Funda. What a pleasure to immediately put all your techniques into practice. The next shoot is already scheduled for Saturday and I'm already looking forward to improving things compared to this series. For example, I can already set the camera exposure less dark. And furthermore, I will keep practicing until the techniques truly become my own. It was a wonderful training. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and experience with us so openly. The quality of our photos is improving immensely and I can edit them much faster. Fantastic!"

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who is this course for?
We welcome everyone, from seasoned agents to total beginners. Some arrive with years of experience; others with a brand-new camera. If you are eager to learn and want your properties to stand out, you will fit right in.
Do we need a professional camera?
Not at all. We have guided students with all kinds of cameras, from professional models to compact cameras. We help you to work as well as possible with the equipment you bring. However, it is important that you can use the manual settings of your camera. If you are considering new equipment, we are happy to think along with you about what makes sense to invest in for your business.
We have little photography experience. Is this course suitable for us?
Yes, absolutely. We have taught students with years of experience as well as those who were completely new to photography. Some participants have arrived with their camera still in the box. This course is designed so you can start from scratch or build on what you already know. If you are eager to learn, you are welcome.
Do we get personal feedback on our photos?
Yes. During the practical sessions you receive immediate feedback and tips that suit your photos and way of working. Even after the training you can still turn to us: you get three months of support for questions and having your images reviewed.
What if an attendee can't attend all days?
Life happens. If someone needs to miss part of the training, we will ensure they have all the materials and guidance to catch up. We are flexible and committed to their progress, both during and after the training.
How quickly will we see results?
Often you see improvement in your photos during the training itself. Participants tell us that clients and colleagues notice the difference in property presentations. In many cases this leads to quicker sales and additional assignments, though this varies per situation.
Do you offer support after the training ends?
Yes. We believe learning does not stop when the course ends. That is why we provide three months of aftercare, including feedback on your images and help with any challenges. Many alumni stay in touch long after and say our support made a real difference in their professional growth.
Is this course relevant outside the Netherlands?
Absolutely. We have trained professionals from all over Europe and beyond, and the strategies we teach work in any market. Our focus is on universal principles: great photography, strong branding, and clear marketing that help agents wherever they work.
What is your cancellation or refund policy?
We understand that plans can change. If something comes up, just let us know as soon as possible, and we will work with you to reschedule or find a solution. We will share all the details about our cancellation policy during booking, so you know exactly what to expect.
The training is what my company needs, but not all trainees are technical. Can they attend?
No problem. We often notice that participants are a bit unsure about the technology at first. Therefore, we work in small groups (maximum of six people) and give the training as a pair, so there is room for extra explanation. After the training, you can still contact us with questions for three months via email or video.
Isn't a 3 day training too short to learn how to shoot real estate?
It is an intensive course, but we have been running it since 2011 and have consistently seen our students improve significantly in a short time. The real learning continues after the training, with our support and feedback on your first photos. If you have questions, just email or video-call us. We love to help you keep growing.
Can we Adobe Photoshop use Elements?
We get this question regularly. Photoshop Elements is a great program with useful features, but it lacks a number of capabilities that are important for real estate photography. For example, it is more difficult to properly correct crooked lines and curved walls, and you can automate your workflow less. Therefore, we recommend the Adobe Photography plan.
We teach in Photoshop because it allows you to do all your edits in one program. Most functions of Lightroom are also in Adobe Camera RAW , which is part of Photoshop . The most important difference lies in managing and organising your photo library.
Do you prefer working in Lightroom , then you can still apply much of what you learn in the training there. For the complete editing process we recommend Lightroom and Photoshop to use together.
We run an established business and want to learn how to shoot properties. Are the other modules redundant for us?
That is up to you, but most experienced agents still find value in the other modules. Many real estate professionals discover they can strengthen their branding, make better use of social media, and more effectively show sellers the benefits of great photography. Since this is in-company training, we tailor the course to your business and your needs.
Do you offer a 1:1 in-company training?
Yes, you are welcome to attend solo. We are happy to provide 1:1 training if that works best for you.
